On August 2, 2023 at 12:00, on the birthday of the mailbox, in the 3* Yamskoy Hotel-Museum (Voronezh, Antonova-Ovseenko str., 25A), a presentation of the city historical and cultural philaturist quest route "Voronezh postal. Under the prism of philaturism." The route will pass through 4 tourist locations: the Yamskoy Postal Museum, a commemorative sign for the mailbox, the Main Post Office, and a Monument to the front-line postman.
The mailbox's birthday, timed to coincide with the installation of the first mailbox on the streets of London on 2.08.1858, is a holiday celebrated all over the world to pay tribute to one of the most important elements of communication between loved ones, friends and acquaintances.
Mail quest route #post_kvest-3 "Voronezh postal. Under the prism of philaturism" prepared jointly with the POSTVENTURE project & Postal Adventure", Voronezh TIC, with the support of the Primorsky Regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society – Society for the Study of the Amur Region and the International Community of Philaturism.
The author of the urban historical and cultural philaturist quest route "Voronezh postal. Under the prism of philaturism," a traveler researcher, a postal historian, and the head of the POSTVENTURE project spoke & Postal adventure", the author of the new concept of "philaturism" in the history of world tourism practice – Valery Sushkov.
According to the idea of the author of the postal quest route, all those who complete the route from 4 locations on their own receive an electronic certificate of participation. The main requirement: at each mandatory location of the route, you must take a photo with an AR-postcard with augmented reality "Hello from Voronezh", post the photo to the VKontakte social network with the hashtag #post_kvest-3 and send it to E-mail: Sale@yamskoyhotel.ru a link with your contacts (full name, E-mail and/or WhatsApp to send an electronic certificate). The postcard "Greetings from Voronezh" should be purchased at the beginning of the postal quest route at the 3* Yamskoy Hotel-Museum (Voronezh, Antonova-Ovseenko str., 25A). The cost of the AR-postcard "Greetings from Voronezh" with a stamp is 100 rubles/1 piece.
