Yesenin Museum in Voronezh

Description

There is a Folk Museum of S.A.Yesenin in Voronezh. It can be called unique. The funds reflect not only the main milestones of the Russian poet's life, but also give an idea of those around him who helped him take the first steps in life and poetry.

The museum contains books about Sergei Yesenin, his works published at various times, including during the poet's lifetime. Some of them are accompanied by autographs. The collection includes items from that era, furniture, and everyday items. The Cultural Center is constantly working to expand knowledge about the most important modern creative directions, various events and exhibitions are held.

The museum was officially opened on March 23, 2012. The initiator of the creation of the museum was a local entrepreneur and philanthropist Vladimir Bubnov. People's Artist Sergey Bezrukov, who played the main role in the famous series, joined his idea.

It is worth noting that With. Yesenin was only passing through Voronezh, but the interest in his work does not weaken over time and has its own justification. The poet communicated a lot with Voronezh writers. Together with V. Bryusov, A. Bely, O. Mandelstam and other authors of the early 20th century, he published in the local literary magazine "Sirena".

The first museum in Voronezh dedicated to S. Yesenin, was opened on October 3, 1995. The public museum occupies only two rooms and is located on Donbasskaya Street. The collection is excellent, with rare exhibits, but limited in area. The monument to the poet was erected in Voronezh in October 2006. It is located in the park named after Sergei Yesenin and located at the intersection of Kardashov and Karl Marx streets.

For a real museum dedicated to a beloved poet, an appropriate room was required. The next step was to search for him, as it was planned not only to collect materials for expositions, but also to conduct educational and cultural work. The city administration has found an opportunity to allocate a room.

The S.Yesenin Museum from the village of Konstantinovo shared its materials with Voronezh residents. They brought documentary exhibits and personal belongings from their center for several months. We made copies of letters and photos as a gift. At the grand opening, Sergei Bezrukov donated to the museum a Swiss bell that once belonged to Isadora Duncan and was presented to him by a relative of S. Yesenin, and the costume in which he starred in the TV series "Yesenin".

The building is multi—storey, and the museum itself is located on the ground floor. The total area is 185 m2 and consists of two levels. On the first level there are exhibition halls, on the other there is a concert hall with a library.

The library's collection is based on rare books, which were provided not only by local residents, but were also sent from abroad. Behind the glass cases are the lifetime editions of the poet. The first of them, Radunitsa, was published in 1916. This is followed by individual and collective collections. There are many books devoted to the poet's work and his contemporaries. Some of them belonged to the writer Viktor Budakov.

The main exposition is located in such a way that it is possible to get acquainted with the life of the poet, starting from childhood and up to the last years of his work. It is called "Your friend Sergey Yesenin" and presents all the stages in detail. There is a barefoot childhood in Konstantinovo, and the years of life in Moscow, traveling abroad and to the Caucasus. In the last showcase there is a copy of Sergei Yesenin's death mask, made from a real one.

In the main hall you can see a temporary exhibition brought from the village of Konstantinovo. Among the exhibits are lifetime editions of the works of the poet and his friends, drafts, photographs. Here you can also see the poet's fourth autobiography, which was not published during his lifetime, but was written on June 20, 1924. The writing materials and personal belongings of the poet's family are presented. Among the household items, you can see rustic kitchen utensils.

It was decided to decorate the facade of the building in the style of the "Silver Age" era. The project belongs to the architect Stanislav Sorokin. A "hat" was built over the entrance to the door, which was invented by the artist Alexander Popov. Over time, one of the locals came up with a comic name for the museum "under the hat".

As soon as you enter the museum, you immediately find yourself in a room resembling a concert hall. It is decorated in golden-blue shades. And this is not accidental. The poet performed a lot in front of the audience, at that time it was accepted. The public With. Yesenin was very fond of, and he had to perform at many concert venues, including abroad. In addition, in his lyrics you can find references to various shades of blue. These factors became the basis for the design of the hall.
