One of the main benefits for a modern person is mobility. Business trips or trips around the country within the framework of tourism are regularly organized. However, with the onset of the pandemic, the situation became much more complicated - a QR code was required to check into hotels. Coronavirus restrictions were introduced in the fall of 2021 and made travel very difficult. The Yamskoy Hotel also imposed restrictions in accordance with legal requirements.

However, today the situation has changed. If you plan to move around the country in the near future and want to stay in Voronezh, follow the news about whether a QR code is required for check-in.

What do I need to know about QR codes?
The introduction of QR codes and a PCR test for checking into a hotel became a necessary measure, however, with a reduction in the number of cases, restrictions began to be lifted in a number of regions, including the Voronezh Region. The Governor's order to cancel the codes came into force on March 5, 2022.

A QR code is a square-shaped matrix barcode in which any information is encrypted, for example, about a previous illness or the availability of a vaccination certificate. Codes have become mandatory when visiting cafes and restaurants, as well as when checking into hotels not only in the Voronezh Region, but also in the Krasnodar Territory, as well as in a number of other regions.

Restrictions and allowances are introduced depending on the morbidity situation, therefore, in order to find out for sure whether a QR code is required for check-in, you should get up-to-date information from our administrators.

To read the code, the hotel staff uses special programs installed on mobile devices. Please take into account the need to present your passport for identification when checking into the hotel.

Removing restrictions
To date, check-in at the Yamskoy hotel is possible without presenting QR codes. The Governor of the Voronezh Region made an official appeal and announced that no certificate verification is required when checking into official hotels. Guests can also freely use all the amenities included in the hotel, such as restaurants, a fitness room or a swimming pool.

Prior to the introduction of the new Decree, the following restrictions were in effect:
  • check-in was possible only upon presentation of a QR code;
  • in his absence, check-in was allowed upon presentation of a medical discharge certificate;
  • in some regions, settlement was possible provided that a person received the first component of the vaccine;
  • if the code was missing, it was required to present the results of a PCR test performed no later than 3 days before check-in.
