In winter, a long walk around the city is not the best idea, however, this does not mean that you will have to stay at home or in coffee shops. We have collected six of the best vacation locations in different cities that you can visit either on your own or with family or friends.
St. Petersburg, Peter the Great Botanical Garden
When the joy of the first snow disappears and is replaced by irritation due to slush and greyness, go to the corner of eternal summer - the botanical garden on Petrogradka. A walk through the greenhouses is conducted as part of a tour group, so you can not only admire the flowers and green trees, but also learn a lot of interesting things about where they were brought from.

Moscow, Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve
Since the beginning of December, the Tsaritsyno Museum has a New Year's program – tourists can visit ski trails, ride tubing or ice skating. And if you are cold, go drink hot tea or watch performances in the Grand Palace.

Voronezh, Voronezh Concert Hall
A traditional holiday for Voronezh residents and visitors before the New Year is a visit to the Nutcracker performance in the concert hall. And if you come to the city with your family or for work, book rooms at the stylized Yamskoy Hotel at favorable prices. Each guest is provided with comfortable rooms equipped with everything necessary (Wi-Fi, TV, hairdryer, comfortable mattresses). The hotel also has a restaurant where you can order traditional Russian cuisine.

Nizhny Novgorod, Fairground Palace
Once in Nizhny Novgorod, visit the winter Fair Palace, where you can not only buy gifts for the holiday, but also see New Year's trees and beautiful illuminations. Various events and exhibitions are held in the palace every year, so you will definitely find something interesting for yourself and your child. You can also walk along the cozy streets of the city, including Pokrovskaya Street and look into the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.

Kazan, Kazan Kremlin
The winter Kazan Kremlin is a must–visit for all tourists - New Year decorations are installed here, but even without them, the Kremlin territory becomes indescribably beautiful. What a view of the river and the snow-covered city is worth, which opens "like in the palm of your hand". And if you are cold, visit the cafes and exhibitions in the Kremlin.

Krasnodar, Galitsky Park
Like many other parks in Russia, Galitsky Park is transformed for winter – the trees in it are decorated with Christmas tree toys, color illuminations are installed. Dress warmly and go for a walk, and if it gets cold, you can warm up in local coffee shops and continue the tour.

And if you want to spend December in the warmth, go on a tour of Adygeya or book rooms by the Black Sea.
